RINGGOLD, LA – Graveside services for William Matthew Henry "Matt" Honley, 32, of Ringgold, LA will be held Friday, October 24, 2014 at 2:00 PM in Springhill Cemetery in Ringgold, LA. Visitation will be Friday, October 24, 2014 from 11:00 until service time at Rockett Funeral Home in Ringgold, LA. Officiating will be Bro. Stephen Murphy.
Matt was born January 20, 1982 in Shreveport, LA and passed away at his home October 19, 2014. He was a wonderful, loving and caring son to his mom, whom he had such a special relationship with. He was her "beloved baby" and will be missed very much. He was also a great brother and uncle. He never met a stranger and was always helpful to others.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his dad, William Honley. Left to cherish his memories include his mother, Betty Honley of Ringgold, LA; sisters and brothers-in-law, April and Jeremy Nash of Lewiston, Maine and Sarah and Joseph Garza of Ringgold, LA; eight nieces and nephews and many, many friends.

Still after five years you are missed, Matthew. My fondest memories are the way you would greet family, friends and even stanger's; BBQing at our 2nd annual family reunion and catching meat on fire; as a little boy you always had a make believe horse that you tie up to the fence. You were definitely a gift and you will never be forgotten. Love you always my dear cousin.

I remember Uncle Matt from when I was little. I didn't get to talk to him much after I've moved out, but I remember all the fun we had when I visited. Grandma definitely got it right when she made him :) <3
