Not sure what to say?

Mr. Thaggard was my biology teacher at Groves High School, from which I graduated in 1970. His was one of my favorite classes. He selected me to represent my class in a regional Biology competition. I did not win or even place, but it was an honor to be selected to go. I have never forgotten Mr. Thaggard. May he rest in peace, and my prayers are for the family.

Our prayers go out to you Jeremiah 29. 11 & 12.

Mr. Thaggard was a remarkably wonderful teacher who made learning fun. He encouraged students to ask questions and to seek answers with his guidance. Condolences to the family.
Gayla Weeks Kessler Robert W. Groves High School Class of 1966

My deepest sympathies.

He was my teacher at Groves High School in 1969 and 71. I really enjoyed his classes and his special talent in teaching those classes. Sad to hear of his passing. God Bless.

Mr Thaggard was a terrific teacher. I didn't do so well in his high school A& P but I aced it in college. I learned to study from him. I can still see him bouncing as he walked with his permanently attached coffee cup on his finger. We had his notes from a previous year. He had written his jokes in the margin. Same jokes every year word for word. I remember one thing he shared from being in the navy. I taught it to my children.

Mr. Thaggard was one of my very favorite teachers at Groves High School. I graduated in 1971. He Biology class a part of the school day that I always looked forward to. I loved being a lab assistant in his class. He had a subtle but amazing sense of humor that kept you interested in his teachings!! Prayers and condolences to his family and friends.

The Georgia-Carolina Council National Eagle Scout Association Committee extends thoughts of deep and sincere sympathy to the family of Eagle Scout William R. Thaggard at this time of mourning.
May your memories bring you comfort.

Field Trip

Mr. Thaggard was a great biology teacher. His lectures were informative and entertaining. His labs were funny and exciting. Our field trips were home homes. I served as his class/lab assistant for one year and had a great time. Go to God, my friend.
