Not sure what to say?

I am sorry to hear that Bill has passed on. We have been communicating with each other since 1998. I really liked Bill a lot. He was a good friend to educators and will be missed. I got to know him when I attended the NASA NEW program in 1998 at NASA Langley Research Center in VA. I will keep all of you in my prayers. I will also try to pass this on to other NASA New Educators.

Dear Williams Family,

I spent less than a week around Bill at Langley for an educator's conference. The first day of the conference, he showed the book ZOOM, by Istvan Banyai to the group. Seeing Bill turn the pages and ask us our thoughts is how I will remember him. I knew from the moment I first talked to him that he is the kind of person you want to know and be. I will keep ZOOM at my desk and think of Bill.

Karen and Family:
I work with Peggy and I feel that I knew Billy through her. When I saw his picture, I thought to myself, "that's him alright". His smile and that little twinkle in his eyes gave him away. Peggy often spoke of her love for him and all of you. He was highly revered.
May God continue to bless you, comfort you, and keep you stayed in his peace beyond all understanding.

Karen and Family,
I am so sorry to hear about Bill. I am sure with as many people that Bill brought into your home (and Karen, you so graciously accepted with open arms) that you won't remember me but both of you have a special place in my heart. I was blessed to go through the NASA NEW program twice, visit in your home, go to church with you, by a necklace that your daughter hand-made and go to the military base for a 4th of July concert with you (Bill cut his hand that night but I...

Dear Karen and Family,
Our thoughts are with you as we were saddened to hear of your loss...Many years have passed since our Knollwood Meadows Garden Club functions, but we will always remember Bill's warm personality. May the love of your family comfort you during this difficult time. Johnise and Stephen Nuttycombe

To Dr. Bill’s family:
I was stunned to hear that Dr. Bill had passed. We had talked just a few weeks ago and I was looking forward to seeing him at the meeting next month. In the ten years that I knew him, he was always so encouraging and upbeat, even when dealing with traveling some twisting Kentucky backroads to visit a new school. He really got a charge out of seeing the impact the programs made on the students. A true Southern gentleman is how I have heard him described and no...

Karen and Family,
I just learned of Billy's passing. I know he will be greatly missed. I have such pleasant memories of the the difference he made while in Williamsburg. He made the entire Central Office much warmer by his presence.

To my family, and friends of Bill,

I will begin by saying that I loved Bill very much. I faced Bill as no other has, to ask him for his daughter’s hand in marriage. It was not an easy thing to do, being a father myself, I knew the skepticism I would have held, had the roles been reversed. But on that day, December 26, 2005, I sat with Bill, confessed my sins and mistakes, shared my hopes and joys, and concluded by telling him how much I loved his daughter, and what kind of life I...

Karen, Peggy and all family,
Our most sincere sympathy and all of our thoughts and prayers.
