Not sure what to say?

Nov. 16, 2017 and I am just learning of Captain Lee's passing. He was a true best friend. Remembering so many smiles being with and flying with Captain Lee. I will miss you very much, it hurts to know that I will never again be able to call you for a many smiles conversation.

In the spring of 1980, I was about to take my CFI ride at the University of Minnesota Flight School at Anoka County, Blaine. Lee Bradshaw walked in and said, I'm looking for a glider instructor, anybody interested. A ride in a glider is what had brought about my interest in aviation so I said I'm Interested. Lee talked me out of taking my CFI ride as it would have added an additional 15 hours in gliders to add on the CFIG. I started flying with him the next day and had my Commercial Glider...

I wanted to add more from my niece..."I'll always remember my ride with Lee in his 1929 open-cockpit biplane, that was one of the coolest things I've ever done. He was a very nice man and it was truly a pleasure flying with him."
- Jennifer

Lee was a wonderful Guy, always upbeat, always chipper.

I flew my Commercial Glider Check ride out of Benson's Airport with Designated Pilot Examiner Lee many years ago. I later became Lee's Personal Attorney.

Lee was a long time Benson's Airport Regular. He flew to the Annual Benson's Summer Party on Birch Island Lake at Voyager Village Wisconsin. Landed on the water and then taxied his Lake Amphibian right unto Harlan's Beach, next to the ever present Beer Keg! Those...

Never met this man, but what a life! He is an inspiration to everyone! Wow! Guaranteed he is flying with the angels and not needing any extra equipment. He lived like we all are supposed to - everyday is a new adventure, have no regrets and live life to the fullest. Amazing obituary - rock on Winthrop Lee.

Lee was such a great guy and generous with his experience and ability. I have a niece who had exhibited an interest in flying and Lee had no problem taking her up to show her what an airplane can do. I'll miss him greatly as he lived a very full life and I learned a lot from him. R.I.P. Captain

Did not know your father, just love how his obituary reads. He surely lived an adventurous life.
