Donald J. Steffens Naples, FL
Donald J. Steffens, 81, of Naples, FL, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2010. Formerly of Glenview, IL, he had been a Naples resident since 1993. Don was born and raised in Winnetka, IL and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. He spent 30 years with the Winnetka Fire Department retiring as captain. He was also a general contractor building homes on the North Shore of Chicago. Don was an avid golfer and loved his boat, "The Darby."
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 25 years, Mary Lou; children, Christine Bulmann, Catherine Kropp, and Don Steffens Jr.; stepchildren, Julia, Walter, Brian, Mark, and Patrick O'Sullivan; three grandchildren; and six step grandchildren.
Services will be held in Naples at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Don's memory may be made to Salvation Army, 3180 Estey Avenue, Naples, FL 34104.

Dear Mary Lou, I was with great sadness when we read of Don's passing today. Everyday we read the Naples Daily News on line to try & keep up.
Please accept our love and sympathy. We have such fond memories of our time in Naples.
