Kenneth Clippinger Obituary
MOUNT VERNON: A funeral service for Kenneth A. Clippinger, 86 of Mount Vernon, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Milford Church of Christ, 3648 Johnstown Rd., Centerburg, with Pastors Gary Thomas and Russell Waddell officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery, Centerburg.
Ken died April 13, 2011 at Knox Community Hospital, Mount Vernon. He was born December 31, 1924, in Utica to the late John and Lillian (Knisley) Clippinger
Ken was a very active member of Milford Church of Christ for over 50 years. He and his late wife were owners of Clippinger Pest Control for 40 years. Ken was employed by Pittsburgh Plate Glass in Mount Vernon for over 30 years and was a graduate of Utica High School.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Lonnie Higgins of Mount Vernon, Sharon and Gary Wiseman of Waynesville; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Barb Clippinger of Findlay; grandchildren, Carrie (Ron) Jones, Lonnie Higgins, Jr, Garet Wiseman, Todd (Rita) Clippinger, Kim (Travis) Jordan, Colby (Angie) Clippinger; step-granddaughter, Kasey Jones; great-grandchildren, Shelby Holbert, Loni Higgins, Logan Higgins, Alexis Jordan, Austin Clippinger and Aubrey Clippinger; great great-grandchildren, Tawnii and Brandon Scott; brothers and sister-in-law, Herbert Clippinger of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Hugh and Shirley Clippinger of Newark; former daughter-in-law, Pat Clippinger.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Kaye E. (Gorley) Clippinger who passed away March 24, 2004; brothers, Lancie, Eugene, Donald and Ivan Clippinger; sisters, Isabel Ferguson, Doris Dunlap, Phyllis Hutton and Helen Alexander.
Donations may be made to Milford Church of Christ, 3648 Johnstown Rd., Centerburg, OH 43011.
Family and friends may call Tuesday, April 19, 2011, 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica.
