Jayson Belcher Obituary
Jayson attended First Baptist Church of New Bern. He was a graduate of New Bern High School, and attended Craven and Caldwell Community Colleges. He was an athlete most of his life, participating in baseball, basketball, and soccer. Jayson had a deep passion for music. He was extremely well read, and very informed of current events and politics.
He is preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Floyd Jay Johnson.
Jayson is survived by his parents, Blake Belcher and Cynthia Johnson Ballance, both of New Bern; grandmother, Marilyn H. Johnson of New Bern; aunts, Karen Ellenberger (J.T.) of New Bern, Judith Fleishman (Ken) of Fayetteville; cousins, Claire Ellenberger of New Bern, Hope Ellenberger of New Bern, Julia Roadman of New Bern, Cameron Hill of Fayetteville; step siblings, Paige Consani, Dave Ballance, Dylan Lloyd, Blythe Hawkins (Dusty), Chloe Lloyd, Natalie Lloyd, Nadine Lloyd; girlfriend, Krysta Clark and his faithful dog Buster.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 22, 2017, at First Baptist Church of New Bern. A private burial will be held at Greenleaf Memorial Park. In lieu flowers donations in Jayson's honor may be made to Craven County H.O.P.E. 156 Perrytown Road, New Bern, NC 28562.

I was out of the state when I heard this sad news. Jayson was one of my favorite students ever. He was incredibly honest and open and always had a twinkle in his eye. My deepest sympathies to his family who I know loved him dearly as well.
