Shankle Kerr
Bertha Gaye Shankle Kerr, age 73, of Concord Township, passed away Feb. 1, 2011, at her residence.
She was born July 29, 1937, in Kinport, Pa.
She had been employed as a home health aide.
Survivors are her children, Richard (Mistey) of Adelanto, Calif., Kenneth and Barry of Concord Township, and Cynthia Stoddard of Concord Township; grandchildren, Aaron Smith, Beth Green, Justin Kerr, Kyle Kerr, Terri Jones, Monica (Grant) Reed, Douglas (Heather) Stoddard and Tamyra Kerr; 10 great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Elsie Sherwin of Burnside Pa., Olive Venable, Ida (Jim) Jones, Betty Marks, Ronald "Jim" Shankle Leonard (Vai) Shankle, Debbie (Rick) Holland, and Linda Robinson, all of Louisville, and Ray (Lois) Shankle of Canton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kerr; parents, Phyllis (King) and Lawrence Shankle; and brothers, Donald and Gene Shankle.
Services will be 5 p.m. Saturday at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave. (opposite Lake Erie College), Painesville. The Rev. William Alvey will officiate at the service.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
