Margaret Halko Obituary
Mrs. Halko passed away Feb. 27, 2011, at Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born Aug. 8, 1929, in Cleveland, she had lived in Wickliffe for more than 60 years.
She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Willowick. Margaret was a great cook, devoted wife, mother and professional grandmother. She loved working in her yard.
Mrs. Halko retired from Hough Bakery in Cleveland in 1992.
The family would like to thank all of the caregivers at Golden Living Center in Kirtland.
Survivors are her children, Richard (Sue) Halko, Alan (Susan) Halko, Ernest Halko Jr., and Beth (George) Middleton; grandchildren, Leah (Steve) Skarie, Aaron Halko, Amy, Mollie, Sarah and Seth Halko, Bryan and Brianna Halko and Allison Middleton; great-granddaughters, Norah and Elaina Skarie; siblings, Irene Nowicki and Velma (Max) Kurtz; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest R. Halko Sr.; grandsons, Andrew, Michael and Matthew Halko; and many brothers and sisters.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
Contributions are suggested to Bethel Lutheran Church in Willowick.

Dear Beth and Halko Family,
I'm so sorry I found out so late your mother passed away. She was such a wonderful lady.
I will miss her waving from across the street while we both worked in our front yards.

I am sorry to hear that Aunt Marge passed away. I was too little to really remember spending time with Aunt Marge, but I know the time we shared was fun. All my love to the entire family! May she rest in peace.

To Aunt Marge's Family,
Mike and I were very sad to hear that Aunt Marge passed away.
We know this is a very sad time for you all. We are keeping all of you in our prayers and our thoughts. I have so many fun memories of Aunt Marge. She was a very special auntie. I will keep them in my heart always. Aunt Marge and Uncle Ernie are together again. That does make me smile.

Dear Halko Family, I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Marge's passing. It's been a long time since I've seen any of you but I still keep in touch with Billy's family.
