My, how the years have flown! Elayne kept our youngest son when he was just a baby and until he started to school. He loved her as the whole family did. She was a faithful member of our church and has brought much joy over the years. She was so handy with alterations and sewed many things for me when my time ran out.
She seemed to find good in people and never got tired of helping others - especially her family.
Years ago we supported the same team - the Steelers. I think it was mostly 'cause they weren't the Cowboys. It was fun to yell together.
Elayne loved the Lord and tried to show that in those around her and that is what makes our life so good - helping others. I admired her for helping with Meals on Wheels. She was a good person all-around.
She will be missed!

I have nothing but fond memories of Nonny. She took care of my son, Andy, so that I could continue my college education and know that my child was in a loving home. She had a knack with children and animals.

I'll never forget the time we were standing in her hall, talking as I picked up my son. I was near the open bathroom door when I heard a flush. I expected to see one of her young charges come toddling out, but it was her CAT! She had trained her cat not only to use the toilet instead of the litter box, the cat FLUSHED the thing, too. I stood open mouthed while Nonny laughed that hearty laugh of hers and explained that the cat was present when she was working with potty training the children, and pretty much to the hang of it from that. It took just a little praise from her to cinch the deal with that cat.

Nonny, my son is the wonderful young man he is today partly because of the love and patience you showed him in his first few years of life Thank you from the bottom of my sad heart.
