Roderick (Rod) B. Gammon, 76, of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away on November 1, 2015 at Hospice in Palm Coast. A memorial service will be held at 1:30pm on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond, 733 West Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach with a gathering of friends and family one hour prior of service. Rod loved 50's music, dancing the Bee Bop, traveling and dearly loved cooking, especially his homemade Thanksgiving meal. He was a member of Rima Ridge Baptist Church and a volunteer for the Flagler County Fire Department. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Jean; son, Rod B. Gammon, Jr. (Sheila Gammon) of Ormond Beach; son, Donnie Gammon (Paige Gammon) of Whitinsville, MA; and a daughter, Debbi Gammon, of Ormond Beach; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister, Frances Martin; and brother, Jerry Gammon. I just went into the carpet shop and saw Rod Jr and found out. I am so sorry for your family's loss. We lived on Sanchez near you all and Rod Jr. was 2 yrs ahead of me in school. I was a crossing guard as a kid right on that corner. What a wonderful businessman he was, he had a vision and it has withstood even the emergence of the big box stores, just the right dedication to customer service and staying current on trends and products, walking around and looking at all you need to know, wow... What a special man.

To Mrs. Gammon, Rod Jr.,Donnie, Debbie and Family.
I send my heartfelt condolences to you all on your loss.
I worked for Mr. Gammon out on the ranch soon after he purchased it. To this day; I have great memories from those time.He was a good man that shared wisdom with me that I carry today. I can honestly say that some of that wisdom had a hand in me becoming the man that I am today.
Rest in Peace Mr. Gammon job well done!!

To the Gammon Family.
I am so sorry for your loss and you will all be in my prayers. He is now in the hands of the Lord. He's returned to being that strong young man you remember so well racing around Gods racetrack. It was a pleasure knowing and serving your Dad.
