Loretta Lee Lines

Loretta Lee Lines, 81, of Springfield, passed away at home, surrounded by love on August 12, 2011. She was born February 18, 1930 in Kansas City, MO to Dorothy (Bivens) and Samuel Shurback. Her husband of 36 years, Walter Lines; her son, Craig; and two sisters, Alice and Helen, preceded her in death. She is survived by two children and two grandchildren; Lori Spiegel and her son Harrison; Samuel Lines, his wife Justine and their daughter Emily; and her brother Samuel Shurback.

She was a spiritual seeker and a member of Community of Christ and Christ Church Unity. She lived among angels, her dear friends who loved and supported her through her whole life. Loretta was an artist who lived in beauty and grace. She owned a beauty salon, painted in oil and taught china painting. A memorial in celebration of her life will be held in Community of Christ, 909 W. Battlefield on August 14 at 6 p.m.
