JULY 28, 1938 - MAY 13, 2010



Bob was a U.S. Navy Veteran born in Holyoke, MA. He moved to N. Fort Myers, FL in 1977 from Portland, ME where he had worked as a CPA. He belonged to N. Fort Myers Sailing Club and Fort Myers Harmonica Band. His other passions were piloting and spending summers on Frye Island, ME.

Survived by Caroline, his wife of 48 years; children Michelle, Michael (Kristy); grandchildren Carrie, Joey, Melissa and Benjamin; great-grandchildren Chloe, Adreana, Zachary, Chevy; brother Donald (Joan), sister Anne Barnes (Bill) and beloved dog Megan. Preceded in death by his parents Robert L. and Stephanie Desfosses and brother Lou (widow Judy).

His life will be remembered and celebrated on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens, 1589 Colonial Blvd. Friends will be received at 6:00 PM followed by services at 7:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Bay Pines Health Care System, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, FL 33744, C/O Fisher House.
