Dear Herbert and family,I looked at Dorothy's picture on here and I really studied it. As I looked in her face,I saw that beautiful lady from my past that I just wanted to be around hoping that some of that beauty and grace would rub off on me.So many memories came flooding back. All the good times I shared with with Betty and Jim and your family. How proud we all were to be shown around Washington by you.I had so much fun with Linda. And when Patty came along I thought how lucky they were to have parents that cared so much about them.Ok Herbert I did think it was a little crazy when we all had to put grass on our dinner plates for Patty for pretend food one night! Anyway good, good memories. I am sure you all have plenty, hold on to them.I would like to tell you that time will ease the pain. For some it does. However I think that each of us must find our own way through the pain by ourselves. One thing that always helps me is to go out on a clear night after a death and look to the stars. There will be one that catches your eye. It will be the brightes and the one sparkling the most.I like to believe thats my loved one saying "I made it Home and I am Happy" May you find comfort and peace in knowing how much people really do care.No matter the distance or the time that comes between old friends hearts reconnect in times of need. I will remember Dorothy as I remember Betty, two beautiful ladies ,inside and out who made such an impact on my life. Cherished memoies that come back to me on starry nights. Love and Prayers Linda Skeen Santolla

Herb, you and Dorothy were a big part of my growing up years and I am saddened by your loss. Dorothy was always a shining light whenever she entered the room. Her grin was infectuous and I loved her dearly. My prayers will be with you and your family. Shirley (Gilliam) Hart
