Joan was such a wonderful, kind, and truly beautiful woman. I think all the women of the church came to her at one time or another for her Godly advice. She was always gracious and patient with us all. There are few people in this world that I respect as much as Joan Barb. I am thankful I have the privilege to call her friend and sister in the Lord. We do not sorrow as those that have no hope. Thank you, Father, for the gift of Joan. Until we meet on the other side, much love.

My deepest sympathy goes to the Barb Family. At this very difficult time in your life, words can't really express the sadness that such loss can bring. May our Heavenly Father give you peace and comfort. Very encouraging are the words found at Psalms 147:3 "he is healing the broken hearted ones."

To all the Barb and Boswell family: I remember Joan Barb as one of the most admirable ladies I had ever met - an example of grace and beauty at Evangel, a mother to emulate. I wish you grace and peace, love and comfort at this time of loss. May memories of her give you joy.

It was my privilege to see Joan at work in the Children's Church at Evangel, showing that even the youngest child can worship God in their own way. To Bob, all the boys, and my dear Michelle, I'm so sorry that you have lost this sweet inspiration. Having lost my brother recently, I feel that sting all to well, and now here again. As you said, Michelle, by God's grace she is now in His hands and for that we are all grateful. We find our rest in him. God be praised: He was praised throughout her life and so now it is only right that we praise him as she has been received into HIs Glorious Presence. You will all be in my prayers.

Robert and Family - I am so confused on my feelings about your Wife and Mother's recent parting from this earth. She seemed too young to leave us, but in God's plan she wasn't and she now knows all and feels no pain or confusion. She was the big Sister I never had. I looked up to her as such a wonderful Christian Woman and Mother, especially when it came to Spiritual matters. She was so full of Wisdom. I know we will all miss her, especially you, her family. For those of us who haven't seen her in a while, we just always knew that she was there. She always did God's work first and foremost and especially that of being a wonderful Christian Wife, Mother, and friend. Know this, your loved one was a God-sent Pillar to all she ever came in contact with. She never wavered from her faith and her Lord. Some might say that it is awful that she died on her Birthday, but what it really was was her Birthday to Glory, which I truly believe to be such a blessing. To come to her earthly life on 12/11 and then go to her Heavenly Home on that same day 12/11 - what a blessing, how amazing. I am so happy for her for that. She is continuing to be beautiful and beaming with brightness as she always was here on earth. I loved your Mother here on earth! We ALL loved your Mother and look forward to the final reunion. God be with you all and God Bless you all.
