Kathrene M. Thompson (Rotenberry) Kathrene M. Thompson (Rotenberry), age 82, died on December 31, 2010 at Fairfax Nursing Center, Fairfax, Va.

She was born on January 5, 1928 in Marion, Virginia to the late Hugh and Callie (Sheets) Rotenberry.

Also preceded in death by her husband William C. Thompson; and two sisters: Elsie F. Norman and Nancy Knable.

Kathrene was a member of Westover Baptist Church, Manassas, Va.

Survivors include three children: Michael L. Thompson and wife, Margaret of Springfield, Va., Mary Ann Heit of Fairfax, Va. and Brenda L. Vale and husband Daniel of Charlotte, N.C.; four brothers: Roy R. Rotenberry of Stuarts Draft, Va., Paul E. Rotenberry of Colorado, Ernest L. Rotenberry of Colesville, W.Va. and George R. Rotenberry of Clearbrook, Va.; two sisters: Ruby V. Pace of Annapolis, Md. and Lenora Jenkins of Manassas, Va.; three grandchildren: Stacy Chy, Tina Frum and Danielle Vale and four great-grandchildren: Maurica Parker, Bethany Phillips, William Chy and Sarah Chy.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 3, 2011 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Va. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Westover Baptist Church, 10301 Sudley Manor Drive, Manassas, VA at 10 a.m. with Pastor Randy Haynes officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, Va.
