With heartfelt sorrow, we share that Carl Eugene Davis, Sr., a proud U.S. Marine, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and respected master mechanic, left us peacefully on September 17, 2025, at the age of 77. His kindness, dedication, and warm spirit will be deeply missed.

Born on July 16, 1948, in Arlington, Virginia, Carl was cherished as the son of the late Andrew and Helen Morton. From a young age, he showed strength, discipline, and duty-values that influenced those around him.

Carl served honorably in the United States Marine Corps, a chapter of his life he held close to his heart. His dedication to his country was a testament to his noble character; loyal, courageous, and deeply committed to something greater than himself, qualities that continue to inspire those around him.

Following his time in the military, Carl discovered his true passion as a master mechanic. With gentle, steady hands and a wealth of knowledge, he approached every car with care and respect. His unwavering work ethic and genuine kindness earned him the trust and warmth of countless customers and colleagues. For Carl, cars were more than just machines-they represented milestones, memories, and stories that he loved sharing with family and friends, making every interaction meaningful.

Carl cherished his role as a proud father to Patricia Stewart, Tracey Davis, and Carl Davis, Jr., and he was a loving father-in-law to Courtney Stewart. His heart was full as a devoted grandfather to Quentin Davis, Monjir Rajah, Jr., Erika d'Almeida, Amanda Rajah, Dominique Davis, Laureen Daniels, Courtney Mickens, Bianca Queen, Josiah Davis, and Micah Davis. He also felt immense joy and pride in his 14 great-grandchildren. His life was a testament to love, family, and the bonds that enrich our lives.

He cherished the bond of mutual respect and friendship he shared with his former wife, Shirley Davis, and held a warm, ongoing connection with the Griffith family, who supported him through many of life's significant moments.

Carl was a gentle soul, quietly radiating resilience and profound wisdom. Though he may not have spoken often, his mere presence provided comfort and reassurance. He lived with unwavering honor, carried out his work with sincere integrity, and loved wholeheartedly, touching the lives of those around him.
