I am so sorry for your loss. He was an amazing DDS. I really enjoyed working for him back in the last 90's.

Dear Judy,
Dr Byrne diagnosed my salivary gland cancer just by looking in my mouth, before the actual biopsy was done. Another oral surgeon performed an inadequate biopsy and told me it was a cyst! I was so grateful to Ken for his expertise, professionalism and genuine concern. Later, when my daughter needed a procedure, I made sure she was treated by your husband because I trusted him so much.
I met you and your little daughter at your office, at Westridge Elementary back-to-school night, and at CVS--where we always chatted. When I learned Ken was continuing to deal with his cancer and was so hopeful, I felt hopeful he would be ok too. I made it through mine and he's the man who diagnosed it. It just isn't fair that he is the one who was taken. My prayers are with you and your little girl, for your grief to develop into peace, and for faith and strength to go forward. I am sorry to be so late in learning of your loss. You are in my family's thoughts and prayers.

Dear Judy,
Our deepest thoughts and prayers from our family to yours in the loss of such a wonderful and caring father, shipmate, and former boss. We were shocked when we recently found out and were unaware of the loss. We truly learned a lot and he inspired all of us to do our best, try to work as a team, and not just be satisfied with the minimum or just doing the minimum. We learned all these things during our brief time working at his practice. Unfortunately, he won't be able to see me become a Naval Officer next year upon completion of my Masters. He has gone to a far happier place where he doesn't have to deal with any stress. We pray for your family and wish for the best.
Sincerely,
Francisco & Brittany Miller-Cano

Dearest Judy:
From one widow to another, my heart goes out to you on the loss of your beloved soulmate. You and I were lucky to have shared our lives with such wonderful men who gave us so many happy memories. The days ahead will seem dark, but focusing on the good memories will help the healing process. I won't intrude, but know that I am here for you if I can help you in any way.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. Ken and I became close friends during our times in the Navy at Quantico. He will be missed dearly. Thanks for the good times..

Kenny was a cherished friend from my childhood. Though I haven't seen him since high school my mind is full with many fond memories of my old friend...and a jr. high kiss behind Skateland.
Be at peace Springer friend.

We recall with great pleasure the adventures we shared with Kenny and his family in our neighborhood in Naples, Italy (as well as the lively discussions while carpooling in Italian traffic. Kenny was one of true "nice guys" and we are glad to have known him. We wish you fair winds and following seas in your last journey.
