Condolences to the Sandles family. I had the pleasure of working with Herman in the SCPD during the years1968/1970. Herman was a good boss and and a true gentleman.

Today the world has lost a true hero. I did know and work with him in both the Suffolk County Police Dept. and as a fellow firefighter from Central Islip he will be greatly missed as a protector of our society and even more as a person.
