Cecelia Chadwick

KULPMONT — Cecelia Chadwick, 98, formerly of 831 Spruce St., died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Mountain View: A Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Coal Township.

Born Jan. 30, 1913 in Mount Carmel, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Rose (Czokajlo) Moroz. She moved to Kulpmont in 1978 from Woodhaven, N.Y., where she lived for 38 years.

She was educated in Our Mother of Consolation School.

On Aug. 9, 1938 in St. Casimir's Church, Kulpmont, she married the late Walter J. Chadwick Jr., who preceded her in death Jan. 8, 1997.

She worked as a homemaker.

She was a member of the Church of the Holy Angels, Golden Angels Over 50 Club, Altar Rosary Society, Council of Catholic Women, Senior Citizens and Ramblers Club.

Surviving are a daughter, Sylvia Jakuc, with whom she resided; a grandson, Richard Jakuc and his wife, Darlinda; a great-grandson, Richard Jakuc and his wife, Krystal; a great-granddaughter, Jodi Schulein and her husband, Andrew; two great-great-granddaughters, Isabella Marie Jakuc and Gianna Marie Schulein and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Stella Moroz, and two brothers, Walter and Stanley Moroz.

CHADWICK — Cecelia Chadwick, 98, formerly of 831 Spruce St., Kulpmont. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott Street, Kulpmont with the Rev. Andrew Stahmer officiating. Burial will be in Our Mother of Consolation Cemetery, Mount Carmel Township. Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with Transferal Prayers at 10 a.m. in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 1053 Chestnut St., Kulpmont, C.J. Lucas, supervisor.
