David Vanderhoof Obituary

David Lee Vanderhoof, 66, passed away in his sleep Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at his home in Fairbanks.
Dave was born in San Pedro, Calif., Jan. 31, 1945, and moved to Fairbanks in 1981. Dave was a master carpenter. His skills and talent can be found in several Fairbanks homes. Dave was a man who loved to tinker and lived life on his own time, in his own unique way.
He was preceded in death by his partner of 24 years, Shirley "Sam" McCord; his parents, Gordon and Jane Vanderhoof; and his brothers, Jack and Jerry Vanderhoof of San Pedro, Calif.
He is survived by his two sons, Cane and Matt; and his brothers, Skip, Bob and Steve; and his partner Sam's children, Kieth, Cheryl, Tina and Sheri McCord.
Memorial services for Dave will be held this spring or early summer. To receive information on the date and time, email [email protected] or call Tina at 501-269-4619.
Dave's family looks forward to sharing memories and stories of good times. Dave died way too young and will be deeply missed by family and friends.

To Dave's family, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Dave from Jeffery's in the 80's. We had lasting friendship's from our days there together with co-workers and those who dined there.
