My condolences and prayers go out to Ralph's family and to his many close friends. It was truly a pleasure that I got to be friends with Ralph. I first met him when I joined the Neuse River Bowhunters over 30 years ago and over the years since then have enjoyed hunting and associating with Ralph. I just learned about his illness and of his passing and am sorry that I hadn't kept in touch lately. He will surely be missed!

I was sorry to hear of Ralph's death, had not seen him since high school and was a class behind but enjoyed knowing him and Dorothy. Lin Whichard, Durham N C.

Ralph treated me like a son growing up in Heather Hills. I often called him my second father. He had the biggest heart and such wit and humor that he kept me laughing all the time. I learned so much from him but the most valued is my love for the outdoors. I was often his side kick on huting trips, and he gave me odd jobs at the Archery Shop, and I will never forget those times. He was there as a friend and mentor through my college years and into adulthood. Time, careers, family and everything in between pulled me away from his friendship and I am deeply saddened to have allowed that to happen. I am so sorry I was not there during his sickness and even more these past years. He was, in my eyes, a great man. Me and my family will miss him very much, and our deepest sympathy go out to his immediate family.
