Walter Frederick Sherron, 86, of Henrico County, VA, died on Wednesday, October 25th, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Talvis Sherron and Eva Young Sherron; his brothers Billy and Bobby; and his son Walter. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Alease Roach Sherron; son, Ben Sherron (Susan Johnson); granddaughters, Amanda and Katy; sisters, Doris Partin, Melba Baker, and Katherine Hester (Gene). Fred was born in Wendell, North Carolina. He graduated from Wake Forest University in 1953. He served in the United States Air Force, and retired as vice president chief actuary of Home Beneficial Life Insurance Co. in 1991. There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 11220 Nuckols Rd., Glen Allen, VA. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Tuckahoe Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 7405, Merrifield, VA 22116 or The Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Rd. S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047. Morrissett Funeral and Cremation Service, N. Chesterfield, VA is in charge of arrangements.
