Dear Scott and Family,
Please accept my sincere sympathy on the loss of your father.I learned of his passing while vacationing in his home state of Maine last week. I'm sure he would be looking down at me and chuckling as I was trying to Mountain Bike at Sugarloaf Mt.
I certainly recall Bob's and my many conversations on our loves of history, and our coaching days as friendly rivals. He was a dedicated educator, coach, and most of all loving father.

Dear Friends and Family of Robert Mosley,
Mr. Mosley was not only my Cross Country Coach at New Canaan High school, he was my teacher who always believed in me. He put me on the varsity team and even made me a captain of the girls team, when I was not the best runner. He always showed us we could do it and helped instill a great deal of confidence in me that I feel has helped me become the person I am today. Thank you Mr. Mosely for being a great teacher and person who has showed us the importance of being the best you can be.

Dear Family of Robert Mosley,
I am so sad to hear that Bob passed away. He coached me in cross country, indoor and outdoor track while I was at New Canaan High School from 1982-86. While I was certainly one of the slowest guys out there, Bob was always incredibly patient with me and eventually found an excuse to put me on the varsity team. Overall, Bob was my favorite teacher and coach from those years. I learned much about life, sports and how to be a good person from him and still use those lessons today. One memory I have from his history class: he loved to draw a 16" diameter circle on the chalk board and say "That is the size of the guns on the big American battle ships from WWII. No other ship stood a chance." He loved to talk about those battles. I am also very glad to hear they are putting a landmark on "Mosley Hill." Although I hated running that hill at the time, those are found memories for me now.
God bless you all and God bless Bob. He was an excellent man.
Warmest Regards,
Kirk McDonald

Bob Mosley was an outstanding educator, an excellent, dedicated and passionate coach and a good friend and mentor. I have nothing but the fondest of memories of our schools competitions against each other over our many years of friendship.
