Catherine Krizan Obituary

Catherine Krizan, pre-viously of Bethel, wife of the late Martin Krizan, died at Danbury Hospital on Sunday, November 28th. She was born in Danbury on October 24, 1923, daughter of the late Steve and Catherine (Drska) Simek. Mrs. Krizan worked for Barden Corp for many years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Danbury and was active in WELCA. She was a loving soul who cared about everyone around her. She will be sadly missed by her sister, Christine Fusek of Danbury; her in-laws, Emil Krizan, Sam and Marie Krizan, George and Marlene Krizan, Daniel and Nancy Krizan, Paula and John Scozzafava, Betty Krizan, Sue Henderson, and Christine Musgrave; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three brothers, Paul, John and Edward Simek; and her sisters, Ann Ely, Elizabeth Weininger, and Mildred Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 3rd. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Thursday between the hours of 4 and 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 44 Spring Street, Danbury, CT 06810.
