Frederick Roberto Obituary

Frederick Issac Roberto Jr. of East Hartford, previously of New Fairfield and Danbury, died suddenly on October 28, 2010 at Hartford Hospital. He was 80 years old. Frederick was born January 1, 1930 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., the oldest son of the late Frederick Sr. and Angelina (Antedominico) Roberto. He served in the Navy as a Seaman during the Korean War on the USS Gearing DD710. He was a self employed flooring installer, and later worked for Pitney Bowes as a security guard. He is survived by his wife, Joan (Kolesar) Roberto of East Hartford; only daughter, Donna Roberto of Manchester; two sisters, Ann Knise of Georgia and Marilyn Schroeder of Canton; one brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Lillian Roberto of Canton; his uncle, Phil Antedominico of Wilton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. There are no calling hours. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 1, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St Joseph's Church, Danbury followed by Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery, Danbury. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Green Funeral Home in Danbury. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Dear Joan and Donna,
My sencere condolences to you and Donna. I received your card and was saddened deeply by the news. I can sympatize with your loss as this will be the second Christmas that I am spending without my Rosa. My family also wishes you and Donna their sympathy they have many childhood memories of spending time with you, Mr. Roberto and Donna. May God bless you both, give you both the strength to remember him with love everyday.
