Anna Harris Obituary
Anna Majewel Doyle Harris, 87, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother of Eastside Highway, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2010, at her residence.
She was born on October 1, 1923, a daughter of the late Cecil Cameron and Mary Etta Turner Doyle.
She was a homemaker and a member of Wayside Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Harris; two sons, Elton Jerry Harris and Tracey Harris; three brothers, Billy, Curtis and Marvin Junior Doyle; and a sister, Lula Margaret Myers.
Survivors include three sons, Leon Harris of Waynesboro, James F. Harris of Staunton and Dustin Ryan Harris of Waynesboro; a daughter, Thelma Mae Bruce of Crimora; a sister, Margie Dameron of Stuarts Draft; 13 grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2010, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes and Crematory, 618 West Main Street, with Pastor George Yocum officiating. nterment will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
Active pallbearers will include Victor Bruce, Toby Harris, Jeremy Harris, Timmy Jordan, Franklin Campbell and Shane Harris.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2010, at the funeral home.
