Agnes H. Sprouse Bowman
Agnes H. Sprouse Bowman, 87, of Crimora, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at the home of her daughter in Front Royal.
She was born on May 17, 1923, in Basic City, the daughter of the late William H. Sprouse and Mae I. McDaniel.
In addition to her parents, Agnes was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Lloyd "Bob" Bowman Sr.
She is survived by her six children, Joyce A. Bowman-DeLaVega and her husband, Nachi, Lloyd I. Bowman Jr. and his wife, Ann, Charles W. Bowman and his wife, Sharon, Linda M. Lucas, Sandra K. Davis and her husband, Mitchell and Donna Rankin; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Connie Pleasants, Billy Sprouse, Irene Shifflett, Bobby Sprouse, Wayne Sprouse and Warren Sprouse; and numerous nieces and nephews and a very special companion, Johnny Campbell.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2010, at the Chapel of the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 961 Goose Creek Road, Fishersville, conducted by the Reverend Dee Flory. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2010, at the funeral home.
