Edna Jane Pultz WESTMINSTER, MARYLAND

Edna Jane Pultz, 82, of Westminster, Maryland, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 3, 2010.

She was born March 1, 1928, in Vesuvius, Virginia, a daughter of the late Arthur and Bertha (Mayse) Pultz.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Gladwell; and 11 brothers and sisters.

A past resident of Waynesboro, she began her work with the silk mill in Grottoes, and then worked for Crompton Shenandoah. She moved to Maryland and was a lab technician for Stone Filter Company, and remained there after retiring. Edna was considered to be a second mother to her brothers and sisters while growing up, due to their mother's illness. She will be greatly missed, and never forgotten.

She is survived by a son, Richard L. "Rick" Gladwell and his wife, Nancy, of Westminster, Maryland; two sisters, Dot Stinespring and her husband, Conley, of Waynesboro, and Pauline Keys of Odenton, Maryland; two brothers, Henry J. Pultz of Chesapeake, and Robert Lee Pultz and his wife, Dorothy, of Broadway; a grandson, Richard L. Gladwell Jr. and his wife, Megan; a granddaughter, Sherri Limekuhler and her husband, Matthew; six great-grandchildren, Richard L. "Trey" Gladwell III, Sarah Gladwell, Savannah Gladwell, Isabelle Leimekuhler, Erika Leimekuhler, and Allison Leimekuhler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at Community Fellowship Church of the Nazarene by Pastor Jeff Griffith. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Brian Anchor, Mark Anchor, Robbie Pultz, Gary Pultz, Richard Pultz, and Steve Pultz.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Pultz, Tim Stinespring, Johnny Davis and Michael Keys, and other friends attending the service.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at McDow Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Fellowship Church of the Nazarene, 2959 Hermitage Road, Waynesboro, VA 22980-6446.
