Edward "Eddie" Wilson Falls FISHERSVILLE

Edward "Eddie" Wilson Falls, 64, of Oak Street, passed away early on Sunday morning, October 17, 2010, at his residence, with his family by his side.

He was born on September 10, 1946, in Waynesboro, the son of the late Eldridge Wilson Falls and Olvie F. Bradley Fretwell.

He retired from the maintenance department of the former DuPont Company of Waynesboro after 35 years of service.

In his spare time, Mr. Falls enjoyed hunting, cooking and attending car shows.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ivan Fretwell; a son, Brett Edward Falls; and a sister, Sue Ellen Davis.

Survivors include his daughter, Lanette Sykes and her husband, Spencer, of Fishersville; three grandchildren, Jensen Hite, Allison Sykes, Peyton Sykes; a brother-in-law, Ermon "Ted" Davis and his wife, Vicky; nephew, Scott Davis and his wife, Mary, and their children, Tyler, and Olivia Davis; cousins, Tommy Robertson and his wife, Kathleen, Debbie Dixon and her husband, Luther, Les Sorrells, Marie Strickler and her husband, Tom, Charlotte Lucas and her husband, Phil, Linda Ware and her husband, Herbie; a special aunt, Lena Robertson; special friends, Kim and Judy Stone, Ron and Lisa Terrell, Paul and Ruth Robinson, Jim and Joan Puffenbarger, Harold "Smitty" Smith, Bill Downs; as well as numerous friends from the car shows he attended.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at Fishersville Baptist Church by the Reverend John L. Sullivan. Burial will follow at Augusta Memorial Park.

Active pallbearers will be Spencer Sykes, Kim Stone, Ted Davis, Scott Davis, Tommy Robertson, Keith Whitmore, Les Sorrells and Phil Lucas.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Terrell, Paul Robinson, Tripp Dixon, Luther Dixon, Billy Beach, Wallace Back, Lynwood Wiseman, Gary Coyner, Charles Layman and Ronnie Dameron.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 2200 Old Ivy Road, Suite 2, Charlottesville, VA. 22911.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes of Waynesboro.
