Hazel Lessley STAUNTON

Hazel "Tiddle" Lessley, 75, of Staunton, died on Saturday, September 25, 2010, at her residence.

She was born on December 11, 1934, in Staunton, a daughter of the late Graydon L. and Lena Berry Hiner.

On February 21, 1952, she was united in marriage with Erskine Miller Lessley Jr., who preceded her in death on October 15, 2006.

At one time, she was a member of Olivet Presbyterian Church in Staunton.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Sam and Junior Hiner.

Surviving family members include her daughters, Brenda Armentrout and her husband, Kenneth, and Kelley Lessley Holland, a son, Stacy L. Lessley, all of Staunton; a brother, Bill Hiner of Lyndhurst; a sister, Dorothy Craun of Arlington; five grandchildren, Crystal, Kasi, Jamie, Rachel and Brandon.

She is also survived by her faithful canine companions, Pede, Tori Bell and Elvis.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at Thornrose Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kenny Armentrout, Brandon Lessley, Jamie Meeks, B.J. Williams, Paul Duncan and Mike Campbell.

There will be no visitation or viewing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Augusta Regional S.P.C.A., 33 Archery Lane, Staunton, Virginia 24402-2014.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Staunton Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
