Timothy L. Thurston

Timothy Lewis "Tim" Thurston, 39, husband of Andrea (Davis) Thurston of Northwood Drive, Waynesboro, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

Tim was born on April 24, 1971, in Harrisonburg, Virginia, the son of Lewis Thurston of Mount Sidney and Shirley Wheeler of Swoope.

Tim was a custom farmer, working on various area farms, he was a member of the Victory Worship Center, and he loved art work, fishing and hunting. Tim enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends whom he so dearly loved.

Tim was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Mr. Frank Thurston; and his maternal grandparents, Robert and Vivian Smith.

Surviving in addition to his parents and wife of fifteen years, are a sister and brother-in-law, Tina Tinsley and her husband, Phillip, of Verona; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Frank Thurston of Mount Sidney; stepfather, Dennis Wheeler of Swoope; loving in-laws, Robert and Janet Davis of Swoope; a niece, Sara Tinsley; and a nephew, Cole Tinsley.

A memorial service will be conducted 4 p.m. Sunday, October 24, 2010, at the Victory Worship Center by Pastor Ray Eppard.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2010, at Victory Worship Center.

It is suggested that those desiring to make memorial contributions do so to the Victory Worship Center, 200 Hammond Lane, Staunton, Virginia 24401.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
