Wanda Lee Morris, 74, of Fishersville, passed away, Saturday, October 16, 2010, at Willow Estates Retirement Home in Penn Laird.

Wanda was born in Rockingham County, Virginia, on March 14, 1936, and was a daughter of the late Luther Pat and Sarah Frances (Morris) Raynes.

She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Robert Alexander and then for Dr. Nancy Jordan in Grottoes, and retired in 2000. She was a member of Grace Memorial Episcopal Church.

Wanda was united in marriage, September 25, 1953, to Fred Eugene Morris who died June 30, 1987.

Wanda is survived by two daughters, Pamela Simmons of Harrisonburg, and Teresa Lutz and her husband, Gregory " Bo", of Albertville, Minnesota; a sister, Elaine H. Morris of Grottoes; a brother-in-law, Melvin C. Morris of Soda, New York. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Brandon and Felicia Lutz; and a step granddaughter, Erica Maddox of Verona; nieces and nephews, Melvin C. Morris Jr. and his wife, Carrie, of Mount Airy, Maryland, and Shane and Samantha Sites of Grottoes.

A memorial service will be conducted at Grace Memorial Episcopal Church, Port Republic, Virginia, 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2010, with the Reverend Stuart Wood officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2010, at Edgewood Cemetery in Grottoes.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, October 18, 2010, at Johnson Funeral Service Chapel in Grottoes, or at the home of Pamela Simmons, 1079 Misty Court, Harrisonburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Memorial Episcopal Church, 7120 Ore Bank Road, Port Republic, VA 24471.
