Orville S. "Skip" Syester Jr.

Syester, Jr., 63 GREENWOOD - Orville S. " Skip" Syester, Jr. passed away at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, Feb. 17,2016. He was born in Phoenixville, PA son of the late Orville S. Sr. and Arlene Bernsteel Syester. He was self-employed as a poultry farmer operating S. Syester Farms, Inc. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming. He loved traveling and going to their cabin in the Pennsylvania Mountains. He also enjoyed dirt track racing. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ida May Buckler- Syester; two children, Orville Syester III "Skip" and wife Amy, Dottie " Nicki" Walls and husband Jamison; two sisters, Jackie Eldridge and husband Dave, Cheryl Downing and husband Stanley; and two grandchildren, Benjamin Syester and Julianne Walls, and Baby Walls on the way. Funeral services will be on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016 at 1:00 in the chapel of Berry Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford, DE 19963, where friends may call from 11:00 to 1:00 for a viewing. Entombment will be at Milford Community Cemetery, Milford, Delaware. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to St. Jude's Hospital P.O. Box 187. Memphis, TN 38105.
