Dorothy Lucienne Solakian Grave passed away peacefully at her home on January 13, 2018. She was born in Washington D.C. the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Haig Solakian of Pine Orchard. Nama, as she was fondly called, was an avid reader and loved to garden. She had a great sense of humor, and a quick wit. She was most joyous when involved in gatherings with her family. Children are Ted (Sally) Grave of Cheshire, Fred (Sally) Grave of Cheshire and Dorothy (Will) Hoyt of North Haven. Grandchildren are Peter (Allie) Grave (great grandchild Aiden) of Westport, Laura (Teddy) Murphy (great grandchildren Hadley and Alexa) of New York, NY, Fred Grave V of Braintree, Ma, and Charlie, Amelia, Hillary and Olivia Hoyt of North Haven. Dorothy was predeceased by her daughter, Nancy Grave Noonan of North Haven, her grandson Steven Benjamin Grave of Cheshire, and her sister Nancy S. Helman of Darien.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Steven B. Grave Campership Memorial Fund, Camp Becket, 748 Hamilton Road, Becket, MA 01223. A private service will be held. To sign the online guestbook please visit hawleymemorial.com.
