WILLIAM HAPPEL "BILL" WEAVER

1933 - 2015

WEAVER, WILLIAM “BILL” HAPPEL William “Bill” Happel Weaver of Wallingford, CT, passed peacefully on October 21, 2015 at the age of 82 at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford, after a long illness. He was born in 1933 in Harrisburg, PA, a son of the late Edwin and Christine (Happel) Weaver. Bill had many wonderful childhood memories summering and life guarding at Mount Gretna, PA. Bill was a 1956 graduate of Yale University and earned an MBA at Southern Connecticut State University. He spent much of his professional career at Kaman Aerospace, and retired from New York Life Insurance Company. He was a supporting volunteer of Big Brothers Association. Survived by his wife, Lillian T. Weaver of Wallingford; three daughters, Elizabeth Cassidy (Casey) of Madison, CT; Diana Glocker (Andreas) of Mill Valley, CA, and Sheila Weaver (Gordon Wiehler) of Seattle, WA.; four step-children, Sandra Lofquist, Lynn Lofquist Albert, Caren Lofquist Petrizzi and Robert Lofquist; six grandchildren, Samantha, Caitlin, Hannah, Emily, Isabelle, and Matthew; his brother, John Weaver; and his sister, Christine Willis. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Edwin Weaver. Bill’s family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, October 25, 2015, from 4 to 6 p.m. in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N.
