James Dowden Obituary

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - James Carl Dowden, 57, a native of Pennington, and resident of Louisville, Ky., passed away Saturday May 5, 2012, at St. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.

He was head of Logistics Management, North America, for Genentech, a member of the Roche Group. He attended Rider University and received his MBA from Indiana University.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray Dowden.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Marilyn Ruth Pike Dowden; his children, Christopher, Taylor Wilson (Brad) and Joshua; his mother, Dorothy Ann Thornbury Dowden; and his sister, Ruth Reading (Gary).

A memorial service in his honor will be held at Sparta Evangelical Free Church (SEFC) in Sparta, Saturday, May 12, at 11:30 a.m.

Expression of sympathy may be made to The Carpenters Workshop (a counseling service provided by SEFC) and/or Mission Emmanuel (a support organization in the Dominican Republic). Donations can be sent to Sparta Evangelical Free Church, 429 Lafayette Road, Sparta, NJ 07871 in the name of the intended charity.
