Kenneth Black Obituary

Kenneth Lee Black passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 in Lacombe, LA. He was born on September 11, 1943 in Alexandria, LA to Mary Gail Helm Black and the late Edwin Lee Black. Ken is survived by his beloved wife, Lynn Eiserloh "Sissy" Black. He was the loving father of Michele Black Zitzmann (Richie) and Jeffrey Lee Black. Ken was the proud grandfather of Ashley and Zach. He was the brother of Judy B. Depew (Sam), Peggy B. Briscoe, and Mary Lee B. Voigt (Ray). Ken was a graduate of East Jefferson High School and LSU. He served his country in the Air National Guard. Ken was an electrical engineer and retired from Entergy. He was an avid LSU fan and enjoyed photography and woodworking. Relatives and friends are invited to the Memorial Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 4:00 PM with visitation from 2:00 PM until service time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in the name of Kenneth Lee Black to the charity of your choice. Please Share a Memory on the Tribute Wall at www.ejfieldingfh.com.

Ken was a wonderful, caring, loving man that always had a smile on his face. In all my years of knowing him I never heard a harsh word come out of his mouth. My condolences go out to Lynn, Michele, Jeff, Richie, Ashley, Zac, Ken's mom and sisters. This world has lost a great man who will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
