KRANKEL
John M., 66, A resident of Fair Lawn NJ since 1977 passed away on Monday, July 16, 2012. Mr. Krankel was a proud Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a parishioner of St. Anne's R.C. Church in Fair Lawn.
He was an avid collector which included Soldiers, Cars, Comic Books ,airplanes and Sports Memorabilia. John also coached football and baseball for many years in Fair Lawn. Mr. Krankel was currently employed as an accountant with MC Management in Whippany.
Loving husband of Irene (Mullins) Krankel.. Cherished father of Kristie Denny and her husband Gerard, Daniel Krankel and his wife Tina, Brian Krankel and his wife Dore, and Bobby Krankel and his wife Karin. Devoted grandfather of Lauren ,Samantha, Connor, Cameron ,Hudson and Violet .Son of the late Catherine (Kilcommons) Krankel and John M Krankel Jr. Brother of the late Jean Kelly. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass is planned for Friday, July 20, 2012, 10:30 AM at St. Anne R.C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne Street, Fair Lawn, NJ. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus NJ. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home 13-31 Saddle River Road Fair Lawn, NJ. (201)797-3500.

I stumbled upon John s obit accidentally. I worked with John in the early 70 s at American Aniline Chemical Co. We used to chat a lot. He is such a nice guy. We had our daughters around the same time and I remember meeting irene once. What a loss. I was so sad to hear of his passing. God bless all of you. Ellen Deodato

So sorry for your loss Krankel family. I worked with John for 17 years and I can fondly remember every time I asked him how he was he would go on for a half hour about his family... Especially his kids and grandkids. A great man that will be missed by all that knew him. RIP Mr. Krankel (as I called him).

Johnny always had a smile on his face. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, friend, and shopper.....He will be missed. Irene and family....my love and prayers to all of you now and know that he is at peace enjoying heaven although I know that your hearts are broken. My aches too.
