Dear Mr. Shaughnessy and family,
My family and I were so sad to hear about the loss of your son, Jamie. You always spoke so highly of your family in class, and I know that Jamie knew how very much he was loved and how proud you were of him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I hope you know that you forever touched my life as a teacher, and your son was truly blessed to have you as a father.
Love,
Carissa, Ashley and the Murray family

To the Shaughnessy Family, I went to MCP with Jamie. He was always so laid back and easy going. So easy to get along with and so good natured. I'm originally from Iowa (graduated from Univ. of Iowa) and when Matt was being recruited for football Jamie would tell me all about Matt's recruiting. Since Matt started playing football for Wisconsin, Jamie and I have spent many hours discussing the teams' seasons, and supporting one another's teams, except when they played each other :) Each year when Iowa plays Wisconsin my thoughts will go out to Jamie and the rest of his family. He was an awesome guy, an amazing friend, and I will never forget that contagious smile! Please accept my deepest sympathies. Jamie won't ever be forgotten! Matt...good luck this season!!!

Dear Famatta, Kevin, Matt, Peg and Family,
While there are truly no words that can take away your pain at this time, I can only hope that in time all these beautiful words that were written by those who love you and Jamie will help in some small way. You can see that you are in the thoughts and prayers of so many, as you are in mine. Marilyn

Our very deepest sympathy to the entire Shaughnessy family- Jamie was our son's (Neil Thurlow) first roommate when they started at MCPHS several years ago. He was always so cheerful and polite to us whenever we called or visited. Neil often commented on his wonderful quality of listening as a friend to solve problems or situations. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Jaime and I also graduated from NFA in 2001. He was a fun, and caring individual. He always knew how to make someone laugh and feel better if something was wrong with their day. I will deeply miss him it is never easy to lose someone but know that he is another angel looking over and watching after us. He will always carry a special place in our hearts and will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace.

Jamie and I graduated NFA in 2001. I know I am not the only person to mention that he was a very close friend. I am proud to have been a part of Jamie's short-lived life. Jamie will be missed very much. He was a bright, fun-loving individual. Everyone that was a part of Jamie's life will carry on with warm memories of him in their hearts. This is a very difficult and frustrating time for all of us. My deepest sympathy goes out to his loved ones. May he rest in peace.
Love, Joe
