Dear Cournoyer Family,

I've known chuck since I've been at the paint store in Sturbridge. We got along instantly because we both enjoyed fishing and working out. He always enjoyed looking at our mistints. One thing that I'll always remember about Chuck is that he always had a smile on his face. I just wish we had the opportunity to fish together. However, I do know that we will in heaven someday.

I was very glad that Mr. and Mrs. Cournoyer stopped by at the paint store. You two are very nice people and I am glad to have meet you both. You guys have raised your son very well and you should be very proud of the person Chuck has become. My thoughts and prayers are with you all and I will see you in heaven someday Chuck. God bless and take care.

Uncle Jim and Aunt Judy,

I couldn't believe when Stef called and gave me the news. I have a lot of memories from when we were kids like babysitting at the pool or painting whiskers on his face for halloween. Even the first time I heard him call himself "Chuck".

I am sorry I can not be there with you now but you are in my prayers. The church I attend has been praying for you as well. Please call or e-mail if there is anything I can do for you. All of my love to you.

We are so very sorry about Chuck. He was always one of those people that would pop into our minds frequently. We will never forget that generous heart of his that bought my son Eddie his first snowboard. He was such a loving beautiful person. He always inspired me when I led the music at church and was such a true worshiper. We will grieve with you for a long time, but know that the Lord will bring about his good purposes out of this tragedy. We love you all and my prayers are and will be with you always. 2 Corinthians 4:18
"For we fix our attention, not on things that are seen, but on things that are unseen. What can be seen lasts only for a time, but what cannot be seen lasts forever."

With great sorrow myself, and my family reaches out to the both of you. With everyday that comes I just pray that through the sufferings that you two have faced that both of you are aware that with the life that was blessed to you, that it will never go unnoticed, or unappreciated. There is a heartfelt meaning for all that comes, and with each day that still remains, I pray that the small things that were once lost may be again appreciated. The love of your child brought such a bond unworthy of the pain of this world. I pray for strength, and healing upon the both of you and your families. And to let you know you are not alone, that lives have been changed because of this.

Blessings,
The Hopkins
