Grandpa it has been half a year since you left us. Every day my heart still aches to see you and have you wrap those wonderful arms around me in a big grandpa hug..only you could hug quite like that. I miss you so much and hope you are young and full of energy again ! Love your lucky granddaughter Candy Janish

Mrs Platt, Bobby, Candy and family: I'm so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He was such a nice man and I always enjoyed stopping to chat with he and your mom whenever I went for a walk and they were outside tending to the flowers. I only found out when I mentioned something to my mother and she thought it was someone else because it was Pomfret. So Anyway I was so sad to learn it was one of the Platts that I know. I always had great respect for him I'll sure miss the guy. Bobby stop down anytime. Kevin Frederick

Aunt Peg and the Platt Family,
I'm so saddened by the passing of Uncle Mal and have you in my thoughts and prayers. He was a such great guy and it is hard to imagine a world without his optimism and good humor. I take comfort in remembering that his indomitable spirit has moved on to a higher calling.

Mrs. Platt: I extend my condolences on Malcolm's death. As a young reporter in the 1960s for the Hartford Times, I remember meeting him in my assignment for the town of Lisbon...he was on some board as I recall--finance or education or some other...A true gentleman...
