George Riggleman Obituary

George Edward Riggleman, 87, of Quicksburg, died Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at his home.

Mr. Riggleman was born February 2, 1924 in Shenandoah County, son of the late Edward and Ethel Dellinger Riggleman.

He served in the United States Army during W.W. II.

Mr. Riggleman was a member of Flat Rock Church of the Brethren in Forestville.

He was predeceased by his wife, Fern Arline Sine Riggleman on May 26, 1983 whom he married March 14, 1946.

He is survived by five daughters, Frances Barb of Timberville, Betty of Harrisonburg, Norma Foltz of New Market, Mary Dinges of Edinburg and Christine Baker of Mt. Jackson; three sons, Carl E. Riggleman of Woodstock, Weldon E. Riggleman of Quicksburg, and George "Buck" A. Riggleman of Mt. Jackson; a sister, Hilda Arnaud of Harrisonburg; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two sons, Toby Riggleman and Roger Riggleman.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Flat Rock Church of the Brethren with Rev. William Zirk officiating. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Cemetery, Forestville.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson.
