Walter Lewicki Obituary

Walter Lewicki, Sr., 98, entered into eternal rest on November 16, 2016 in Fort Walton Beach, FL. He was born in Seymour, CT on June 26, 1918 to the late Catherine (Suchadik Lewicki) Marczewski and Stanley Lewicki, who emigrated from Poland in 1910. Walter is preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Wanda Bunk Lewicki and his 4 brothers and 1 sister. He lived a long and full life. He served in the US Navy during WW11 and was a Pearl Harbor survivor and Battle of Midway Island survivor. He was very active in his community and church. He was a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus, and an avid golfer and bowler.
He is survived by his son, Walter ""Skip"" Jr. and Sharron Land, 3 grandchildren; Deborah Dowlin, Suzanne Jones and Jaime Garrison; 4 great-grandchildren; Carolyn Bloomer, Nichole Masters, Austin Masters, Andrew Garrison and 1 beloved great-great-granddaughter, Abigail Bloomer as well as his extended family and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held at McLaughlin Mortuary, 17 Chestnut Avenue SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL on Friday, November 18, 2016 from 7:00PM to 8:00PM. His final resting place will be at St. Augustine Cemetery in Seymour, CT next to his beloved wife. Date and time to be announced.
