Loretta Schmarje Obituary
She was born March 3, 1934, in Harvard, to Charles J. and Mary J. (O'Brien) Bourdage.
She was an avid bingo player and was a charter member of the Harvard Women of the Moose.
Survivors include her children, Irvin (Sibille) Brohammer of Florence, Ky., Barbara (Robert) Svitak of Woodstock and James (Karen) Schmarje of Quantico, Va.; her grandchildren, Richard (Rebecca) Brohammer, Christina (Joseph) Celedon, Scott (Jori), Sabrina, Tom (Brittany) Svitak, Cori (Dan) Hansen, Dawn Brohammer, Mike Stone, Joey and Gemma Schmarje; her great-grandchildren, Abbey, Andrew, Emma, Elliot Svitak, Blake Svitak, Brandon Lambert, Aaron Brohammer, Hannah and Ava Brohammer and Hunter Hansen; her brothers, Leo (Margaret) Bourdage of McHenry and Edward (Joan) Bourdage of Arizona; and her sisters, Dorothy Vaher of Michigan, Katherine Lindell of New Mexico and Irene Aspeslet of Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Irvin Brohammer and Alfred Schmarje; a daughter, Nancy Brohammer; her brothers, Robert, Charles and Francis Bourdage; and a sister, Mary Bourdage.
Friends may greet the family from 5 to 7 pm Tuesday, May 10, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mooseheart, 155 S. International Drive, Mooseheart, IL 60539.
