Steven Biel Obituary

McHENRY – Steven Christopher Biel, 54, of McHenry, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at Centegra Hospital – McHenry.

He was born March 24, 1956, in Chicago, to Rudolph Steve and Delores (Wleklinski) Biel.

He was employed as a mechanic with Alas Lift Truck, McCann, Westside Tractor, Illinois Material Handling in Elgin and most recently for A.A. Anderson in Harvard.

For 30 years he enjoyed motorcycling on the open road from coast to coast. For the past five years he was joined by his fiancée and the love of his life, Wendy. He lived by the words "Ride Hard, Ride Safe." They also enjoyed canoeing, camping, and sunsets together. On his off time, he mastered wood crafting and learned about home brewing. He enjoyed scuba diving and had received his pilot's license.

He is survived by his fiancée, Wendy; his aunts and uncles, Arlene Aquino, Ron Wleklinski, John Biel and Bill Biel; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends and neighbors may gather from 1 p.m. until the memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 21, at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry.

For those wishing to send an expression of condolence, the family suggests memorials to Save A Pet Inc., 31664 N. Fairfield Road, Grayslake, IL 60030.
