Niki & Family,
I just found out this morning about George. I am so sorry to hear this news. He was a good man.
I am so happy I got to talk to him just the Sunday before while he was out mowing the lawn. It was good to see him.
Your Cousin,
Debbie McClaughry

I have such fond memories of George during high school & the class of 1968..I think we even kissed once!! At the 35th class reunion, I was able to bring a very large valentine that George had given me signed "I love you, George" (I actually think it was a joke!!) Your mom thought it was hilarious & George, well a little embarassed..Anyway, he was a sweet & kind person..always nice to a shy girl from Wonder Lake..My prayers & love to you all..Sue (Jones) Shippert, Dixon, IL

Dear Family,
I remember George most from growing up with him on Hirsch St. He was a good friend as a kid and has been a true friend to my family in the many years since. He will be missed but we can still enjoy the memories of his warmth and humor.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you,

Niki, Steve and ALL of you, I am so sorry. I can only hope you will be able to find peace with the support and love from your friends and family. I have such great memories of him...a lot of laughs and silly things of course!
I really don't know what to say...I can't imagine how you feel right now, but I hope you know we love you very much and if we could be there we would. I love you!

I have enjoyed knowing George since our grade school days and I'll always remember his smiling face, infectious laugh and dry sense of humor.
A good man has passed and I will never forget him.
May God bless him.
