Wencil M. Stanek Obituary

SPRING GROVE – Wencil M. Stanek, 82, of Spring Grove, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010, in Spring Grove.
He was born Aug. 23, 1927, in Hillsboro. He married Joanne Knox on Oct. 13, 1956.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne; his children, Steve (Alicia) Stanek, Diane (Frank) Dowell, Donald (Linda) Stanek, Lawrence (Kimberly) Stanek, Michael (Andrea) Stanek and David (Venus Michelle) Stanek; his grandchildren, Renee, Bradley, Kevin, Jared, Brian, Robert, Mark, Andrew, John, Valerie, Deana, Samantha, Amanda, Austin, Brielle, Reed, McKenna, David and Samuel; his great-grandchildren, Carley, Justin, Alexis, Ava and Adam Jr.; and his siblings, Helen Lukas, August Stanek and Theodore Stanek.
He was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Thomas and Stephanie; and his brothers and sisters, Mildred Wilson, Robert Stanek, Martha Stanek, Marcella Stanek, Frank Stanek, Sylvester Stanek, Cyril Stanek, Richard Stanek and Agnes Anderson.
The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 1, at Spring Grove Memorial Chapel, 8103 N. Wilmot Road, Spring Grove. Prayers will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 2, at the funeral home and proceed for a 10:30 a.m. Mass celebration at St. Peter Church, 2112 Main St., Spring Grove. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery.

I fondly remember all the good times and laughs with Wencil and Leo in the old welding shop at Thelen's. We are very sorry to have heard of Wencil's passing. Please accept our codolences.
