Paul William Tougaw

Paul William Tougaw VALPARAISO, IN - Paul William Tougaw, 70, of Valparaiso, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2017. He was born June 22, 1947 in Princeton, IN the son of Paul C. and Violet M. (Kennedy) Tougaw. Paul was an Education Professor at Valparaiso University and a former Teacher and Superintendent of Red Hill School District 10 in southern Illinois. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Kappa Delta Phi, the St. Paul Men's Club, and a former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. On April 22, 1967 he married Ruby G. Rigg, who survives in Valparaiso. Also surviving are his children: Douglas (Cindy) Tougaw and Laura (Jon) Sanders of Valparaiso; five grandchildren: Leanne, Jenni, Alex, Isabel and Abby and a brother Edward (Ellen) Tougaw of Ringgold, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 29, 2017, 4:00-7:00 PM, with a Wake Service at 4:00 PM, at BARTHOLOMEW FUNERAL HOME, 102 Monroe St., Valparaiso and Monday, 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass at the church. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, October 30, 2017, at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1855 W. Harrison Blvd, Valparaiso, Rev. Joseph Pawlowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Francisville Catholic Cemetery in St. Francisville, IL.
