William Isakson Obituary
William C. Isakson, "Bill", age 85 of Hobart passed away Friday, July 22, 2011. Bill was the Owner and President of Isakson Motors in Hobart. He was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church, Hobart Chamber of Commerce, Hobart Pool Association, NWI Auto Trade Association, Chicagoland Chrysler Dealer Advertising Association, former member and chairperson for Hobart Federal Savings and Loan, and Hobart Rotary, Hobart Lions Club. Bill was was a 1943 graduate of Hobart High School. He was a Staff Sergeant in the Indiana National Guard 113th Engineers during the Korean Conflict. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Lorraine; three children: Rhonda (Peter) Tamulonis of Carmel, IN, Robert (Diane) Isakson of Hobart, and Karen (James) Wilson of Valparaiso; eight grandchildren: Peter (Cara) Tamulonis, Deborah, Jessica and Nathan Tamulonis, Eric (Melanie) Isakson, Steven (Angie) Isakson, Amanda Isakson, Jacob Wilson; four great grandchildren: Aubrey and Trevor Isakson, Vivian and Georgia Tamulonis. He was preceded in death by his parents: Clarence and Lillian Isakson; sister, Ilene Lindholm; and one grandson, Matthew Tamulonis. Memorial donations maybe made to Augustana Lutheran Church Foundation and VNA Hospice of Valparaiso. Funeral services for Bill will be held on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Augustana Lutheran Church, 207 Kelly Street, Hobart with Rev. Charles R. Strietelmeier officiating. Entombment will be at Graceland Mausoleum, Valparaiso. Visitation will be held for Bill on Sunday, July 24, 2011 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart. We have lost one of the most outstanding and honest individuals that I have ever had an opportunity to call my friend. Bill taught me alot being an honest businessman that will live on forever. Bill will be greatly missed by everybody that ever had a chance to met him. Thank you Bill for being such a outstanding person that touched so many lives in a positive way. God Bless the Isakson Family during this extremely sad moment in their lives.

A great friend for a long time. I bought my first brand new car from Bill, a 57 black and white Plymouth, tail fins and all, and the Town and Country mini van I have today. My condolences to Lorraine and family.
